I travel around Belize a lot. I always have great experiences and bad experiences, when I visit business establishments - I will focus on restaurants however this can be applied to any busienss - of all sizes, from the nicest to the hole-in-the-wall joints.
However, visiting a nice upscale restaurant or a hole-in-the-wall joint, never guranteed good or bad service. The places that I visited where I had the best service where always the place where you get a warm smile from the owner to the server, and even the other guests.
The most powerful advice I can ever give any business owner, no matter what type of business, or the size of your business, always put a smile on your face, no matter what, no matter if you had a crappy day. And also, make sure you smile with each other; boss smiling with employees, employees smiling with each other.
