MY 2016 RESOLUTIONS

My family

After thorough thought, and applying the art of minimalism, I have decided on three key factors for my New Year of 2016 resolution:

  1. Be thankful.

  2. Stop complaining.

  3. Be a part of the solution to a problem, no matter how small or large a part.

  4. Read 4 books per month, eventually reading one per day.

To start with I am thankful for my wife and daughter. They help me channel my energy into a positive and productive direction, and much more. How I feel about them is ineffable, however, if I should chose one word it would be complete and total 'peace'.

I am thankful for all the new people I have met in the past year. Whether directly or indirectly, they have changed the way I see the world, and made me realize that every interaction with every person, or every situation, is all about your attitude. Controlling one's attitude is, in my opinion, the most important thing any human can ever do, and the hardest thing any human can ever do.

Start by being thankful, and you will have nothing to complain about. When you have nothing to complain about, you will see solutions to problems and how you can be a part of those solutions. And when you seek solutions to problems, you will want to educate yourself, and reading books is, in my opinion, the number one source of exercising that muscle in your head.

I wish you a prosperous, happy, peaceful and attitude-changing New Year.
